Place A Classified Ad

FREE classified ads for privately owned gear up to $200. Email ads, asking to placing the ad, to the editor, and give your name. Ads sent to us without asking to place the ad, politely, and no name, will not be run.

PRICES:

  • These prices apply to boats, real estate, privately-owned gear, dockage (single slips only, no marinas). All others, see Business Ads
  • FREE ADS for all boat gear up to $200. Email your ad to editor. You must ask us to place a free ad and give us your name. Ads received without asking and without putting your name in the email will not be run. Ads up to approximately 30 words. If you have more than one item for sale, they will all be placed in the same ad, unless the ads are started in different months.
  • TEXT ONLY ADS up to 30 words: $25 for 3 months; 40 words @ $35; 50 words at $40; 60 words at $45. Contact us for more words.
  • ADS  WITH PHOTO (horizontal photo & up to 30 words): $50 for 3 months; 40 words @ $60; 50 words @ $65; 60 words@ $70.
  • Add $15 to above prices for vertical photo. We will crop you vertical photo if you want to save $15,
  • 30 words approximately. A few over won't matter. All numbers and contact info are counted.
  • All ads go on our Web site classifieds page on the first of the month of publication at no additional cost. Add $10 to place the ad early on the web site.
  • The last month your ad will run will be at the end of the ad: (12/10) means the last month is December 2010.
  • Add $5 typing charge if ads mailed in or dictated over the phone.
  • Add $5 to scan a mailed in photo.

  • We can take ads as late as 4 days after the above dates, but the ad will go in the TOO LATE TO CLASSIFY SECTION. If on the 4th day after (always a Tuesday), they must be received by 4pm. Contact editor@southwindsmagazine.com , or (941) 795-8704.
  • If you can't remember all these dates, the 1st of the month preceding publication always works.

AD RENEWAL:

  • See above deadlines or 5th of the month preceding publication always works.
  • Take $5 off text only ads and $10 off photo ads of above prices to renew your ad for another 3 months.
  • SAVE MORE ON RENEWALS: Ask us about automatic renewal (credit card required) to take $10 off above prices on text only ads and $15 for ads with photos. Ads renewed twice for 3-month periods after initial 3 month period unless you cancel.

BUSINESS ADS:

  • Except for real estate and dockage, prices above do not include business services or business products for sale. Business ads are $20/month up to 30 words. $35/month for 30-word ad with photo/graphic. Display ads start at $38/month for a 2-inch ad in black and white with a 12-month agreement. Add 20% for color. BOAT BROKERAGE ADS:

  • For ad with horizontal photo: $20 a month for a new ad, $15 a month to pick up existing ad. No charge for small changes, like price, phone number or mistakes.
  • All ads go on our web site classifieds page on the first of the month of publication at no additional cost. Add $10 to place the ad early on the web site. Unless you are a regular monthly advertiser, credit card must be on file.

TO PLACE AND PAY FOR AN AD (Paypal link was broken before for the $25 ad, but it is now working):

  1. Internet through PayPal below. Applies only to $25 and $50 ads. Put your ad text in the subject line at the end when you process the Paypal payment, or email it to: Contact editor@southwindsmagazine.com . E-mail ALL photos as separate jpeg attachments to editor.
    2. For ads with more words than 30 or with vertical photo, contact editor directly.
  2. E-mail, phone, credit card or check. E-mail text, and how you intend to pay for the ad to Contact editor@southwindsmagazine.com . E-mail photo as a jpeg attachment. Call with credit card number (941) 795-8704, or mail a check (below).

  3. Mail your ad in. Southwinds, PO Box 1175, Holmes Beach, FL 34218, with check or credit card number (with name, expiration, address). Enclose a SASE if photo wanted back.

  4. We will pick up your ad. Send airline ticket, hotel reservations, car rental and we will come pick up your ad. Call for more info.
